Hugh's Bite Nite, July 26

Back on June 21, Long Beach resident Hugh Boyle was in a very serious motorcycle accident at the intersection of Palo Verde and Stearns, and has only very recently been transferred from critical care to a rehab facility.

Hugh's wife, Shelly, has been chronicling the days post-accident on her blog, Sweet Vintage Cherry Lingerie, and LBReport.com has also provided periodic updates. Though this is clearly a tragedy, what I find so heartening, however, is how the Long Beach community is supporting this family in their time of need. And you can do your part too....

On Monday, July 26 various restaurants throughout Long Beach will be hosting "Hugh's Bite Nite," and have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds to help with the family's medical bills. The participating restaurants are:

• La Strada Restaurant, 4716 East 2nd Street (Belmont Shore)
• Naples Rib Company, 5800 E. 2nd Street (Naples)
• Marri's Pizza, 6436 E. Stearns St (Los Altos area)
  

So if you want to help a family in need, consider dining at one of the above restaurants on Monday, July 26. Either print out the following flyer, or tell the server that you are there for "Hugh's Bite Nite."
